Wild Wings of Hope Featured in 2025 Scottish International Storytelling Festival Programme!
We’re absolutely delighted and honoured to be featured in the 2025 Scottish International Storytelling Festival programme! 🎉
‘Wild Wings of Hope’ will be taking flight in the Grand Gallery at the National Museum of Scotland on Wednesday 15th, Thursday 16th, and Friday 17th October, from 10.30am (running for 5½ hours each day). Best of all – it’s free and drop-in, so everyone is welcome!
This special event blends papercut craft and traditional storytelling to celebrate the incredible migration of barn swallows and swifts between Scotland and Africa. Visitors of all ages will create paper insects and birds alongside local artist Ed Harrison, while the stories are brought to life by African folklorist Chief Gift Amu and Scottish bard Cara Silversmith.
- Presented in partnership with the National Museum of Scotland, Wild Wings of Hope is our chance to connect children, families, and festival-goers with the wonder of nature, creativity, and the magic of storytelling.
We can’t wait to see you there – come along and help us celebrate the flight of these amazing birds, and maybe take home a little piece of their journey! 🐦✂️
